A little clarity

Good questions.
Clear answers.

What is Lever?

Lever is a proposed charge card backed by your investment portfolio. The idea is simple: pledge stocks, spend against them, and repay your full balance each month. Lever is currently in development.

Do I have to sell my investments?

Ordinary card purchases are designed to leave your pledged shares invested. If you miss a payment, shares may be sold to cover the unpaid balance and a settlement fee. Any sale can have tax consequences.

How does zero interest work?

Lever is designed as a charge card, with the full balance due each month rather than a revolving balance. The proposed business earns revenue primarily from merchant transaction fees. Final fees, disclosures, and terms will be shared before launch.

What happens if the market moves?

The value and mix of your portfolio affect whether a purchase is approved. A lower portfolio value can reduce what you can spend. The current demo updates purchase checks without selling shares simply because the market falls.
